We’re starting work on a new public profile page for Glue.gs. This is where your News, Status, Event and File posts will live for everyone to see.

We’d like to get your input on what features you would like to see on your public pages.

Here are a few questions to get you started:

  • What would you like to see first?
  • What would you want to do with it?
  • How would you share it?
  • What feature don’t you want?

Let us know!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Facebook Pages Sync Beta

It’s ready and we’d like help from a few testers. Go here for more info.

Custom PHP Feed Updates

Updates were made to fix a few minor PHP bugs. Download the update from your Publish section and let us know if you have any issues.

Media Options Coming in Glue.GS

Along with many other great features coming in Glue.gs, one that has been long requested is broad support for media posting. Glue.gs will allow you to post photos, video & audio to all your supported sites from any device.

Read more on this and other features in Glue.gs on our Blog.

Featured Site: Tap Champion

The Tap Champion 2 iPhone App was recently released. To help with promotions they’re using Glue to power their blog and to push updates to Twitter & Facebook. Awesome!

“Glue’s been a great asset in getting the functionality that we need to syndicate content across so many channels!”- Scott Pierce of Blu Sky and Tap Champion

Happy Holidays and thanks for your support this year! 2010 brings big plans for our release of Glue.gs and we thank you for all your feedback and for helping make Glue awesome!

More on What’s Coming in Glue.gs

Glue.gs will introduce publishing groups. Create custom “Groups” and add your sites / services that will allow you to easily publish to your work group, your family group or friend group. It’s flexible, powerful and saves you time! You can update your groups using email, too, so anyone can do it! Read about this feature, posting events, status updates and more in our Glue.gs blog post.

Update on Facebook Fan Pages

We expect to have the Facebook feature ready near the second week of January. Until then you can get setup with this RSS work-around.

Better WordPress Compatibility

Last night we updated our WordPress feature to improve compatibility over various types of accounts. If you’ve had issues in the past you should give it a try. Our testers have had great results. If your posts are publishing to WP fine, you don’t need to do anything!

The Stone Foxes Love Glue!

Emails like these are why we love our users!

“The Stone Foxes… finally implemented Glue onto our website. We also linked up to post automatically to our Myspace blog, Twitter account, blog and other social networking sites. We’ve just started using it but we love it!!! It has made our lives so much easier posting content to all of our social networks! We’re really amped about Glue and love it to death!!!”- Aaron of The Stone Foxes

Quick iPhone Video Demo

For those of you that haven’t seen it yet, check out our demo of the new Glue iPhone app and see how you can update all your sites from anywhere using your iPhone.

New Custom Feeds

We’re reworking our feeds for the new Glue.gs and to show our thanks for using Glue we’ll be adding them to the current Glue Service GlueNow.com before we release Glue.gs. These new feeds will replace our current feeds giving you more flexibility on how you use your feeds. Look for these in late January / early February.

Recent Updates We’ve Made

  • JavaScript Feed Fix: Fixed bug with rare author names.

iPhone App in iTunes Store

A few weeks ago Apple featured our new Glue app in the New & Noteworthy section of the iTunes App store. We were thrilled when we heard this news and saw the huge amount of sign-ups coming in. So far we’ve had over 25,000 people download the Glue app! This nearly doubled the amount of Glue accounts in about two weeks! AWESOME!

If you haven’t seen the new Glue iPhone app in action you can view the iPhone compatible demo video on our Blog.

Account Requests from iPhone App

After the release of our iPhone app, we struggled to keep up with all the account requests but, it seems we were able to setup nearly all your accounts. A few accounts requests may have slipped through the cracks so, if you haven’t seen your account come in yet please get ahold of us and we’ll set you up.

Featured Case Study

With the upcoming release of Glue.gs system we’ve started working closely with different types of Glue users to get feedback and ideas on our new system. Our first case study is with the Seattle band Concours d’Elegance. They’re using Glue to push out updates to their Myspace, to Facebook, and to iLoveCdE.com using a custom PHP feed. Check out their site and listen to some new tracks from a great pop-soul-electro group.

If you’re interested in being one of our case studies and doing an interview about how you use Glue, please email us at support@gluenow.com

Adding Posts to Facebook Pages

We’ve wrapped testing our alpha release and we’re gathering feedback to rework this feature. The beta version will be released soon but, to tide you over I put together a simple walk-through on our Support Site showing how you can add Glue posts on Facebook Pages.

Features Coming in Glue.gs

One feature coming in the new Glue.gs we’re really excited about is the ability to post to various “groups” of sites from Glue. It will allow you to send posts to your “personal group”, “business groups”, all your sites or anything in between. It’s up to you how which groups you create! This feature will be included in Glue.gs coming in early 2010.

Learn more about this and other features in Glue.gs on our Blog.

New Custom Feeds Coming Soon

In preparation of Glue.gs we’re working on some new custom feeds that will address many features you’ve been requesting. The new feeds will allow you to easily drop in a custom Glue feed into your site which will include 3 page views: Latest Updates, Detail View and Archive. We expect these will be available to use in January and will replace the current custom feeds, giving you much more control than ever on how your content is used.

Recent Updates We’ve Made

  • Publish Indicators: Easily see which accounts / sites you have setup
  • New Support Site: All our support & feedback is now handled with Get Satisfaction.
  • Forgot Password: Added a link for this on the login page.
  • Flash Feed Fix: Fixed a bug which addressed paragraph spacing issues.

These updates and features are a result of your feedback. We love to hear from you! If you have an idea, request or suggestion please let us know!

04 Dec 2009 Jordan Dobson

We’ve received many requests asking how you can add your Glue posts to your Facebook pages instead of in your status updates or wall. We’re working on a robust solution for this and expect to have it ready very soon.

To tide your over until the feature is completed, I’ve created a simple walkthrough showing how you can add your Glue posts to your Facebook Page using your Glue RSS feed + Facebook’s Notes feature.

View the walkthrough on our Get Satisfaction Support Site.

Check it out and post any questions you have on our support page.

Lastly, I want to thank all our testers for our alpha version of facebook pages for giving it a shot and providing feedback and letting us kick the tires on your accounts. You guys rule!
